Join the Blowing Rock Historical Society and the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce as we celebrate the grand opening of an exhibit celebrating the storied Green Park Inn at Edgewood Cottage!

This exhibit tells the story of The Green Park Inn in words and pictures. The exhibit traces the Green Park Inn’s journey from its Grand Opening back in 1891 — just two years after Blowing Rock became a town — through the present day. Photos include many of the events, amenities, several of the Green Park’s original shadow boxes, and some of the famous people that stayed there.

The Green Park Inn was instrumental in establishing Blowing Rock as a premier destination, shaping its identity as a year-round resort town. After years of challenges and ownership changes, the Green Park Inn is undergoing a full remake, reaffirming its place as one of northwestern North Carolina’s most iconic landmarks. This exhibit invites visitors to rediscover what made the Green Park Inn a true gem and a cornerstone of Blowing Rock’s development.

Edgewood Cottage hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily (excluding inclement weather).
