Carpenter / Landscaper

This position will typically breakdown at 50% carpentry and 50% landscaping for an average 40 hour work week.

Carpentry skills:

                       5 years of general construction experience.  

                       Proficient with all basic carpentry tools.

                       Ability to estimate small construction projects.

                       Self starter and can work independently.

                       Strong customer service / interpersonal skills.

Landscaping skills: 

                        Ability to use a weed eater, leaf blower, chainsaw, operate a lawnmower, use of other basic  landscaping

                        tools.

                        A basic understanding of general lawn care and planting flowers, shrubs, trees, etc. is a plus.

                        Building split rail fences, retaining walls, and other hardscape items is also a plus.

Other responsibilities:

                         Employees of Property Services are responsible for all road maintenance.  This includes snow removal.

                         Experience driving a snow plow truck is also a big plus.  We can train someone with no experience if they

                         are willing to learn.  P.S. Employees quite often work nights and / or weekends maintaining our roads in the 

                         winter.  The ability to work a flexible schedule is very important.
