WAMY Volunteer Service Day

WAMY Community Action is gearing up for our next Volunteer Service Day on Saturday, June 28th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and we need your helping hands in Watauga and Avery Counties!

We have several meaningful projects lined up to assist seniors and veterans in our community, including:

- Replacing doors and storm doors for two elderly homeowners
- Weed-eating and yard maintenance for a gentleman with back issues
- Exterior painting for a local homeowner
- Yard cleanup for two veteran brothers living in their late mother’s 100-year-old home—plumbing and interior work can’t         begin until the outside is safe and clear
- Installing handrails, yard work, and pressure washing/painting a deck for an elderly woman

These are just a few of the projects we hope to complete this summer—and we can’t do it without YOU!

☕ Coffee, donuts, water, and snacks will be provided to keep you fueled and refreshed.
